ANCIENT AND ACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE

 

Is the most practiced and extended Masonic Rite in El Salvador and the rest of the world. Is conformed by 33 degrees, being the first three the fundamentals to the Rite being called Symbolic Degrees. This is followed by the Philosophical Degrees from 4 to 32, ending with the 33 Degree or Supreme Council.

All the degrees are integrated as fully regular bodies to the Gran Logia Cuscatlan de la Republica de El Salvador, built and recognized as the head of the Salvadorean Masonry.

 

PRICIPLES AND PRECEPTS

The Masonry is an organic institution conformed by free, honest and good behavior men, united by the maximum ideal on the conquest of perfection and called to work to fight against the ignorance and vice and propagate the love for humanity. Her principles are the Universe moral and Natural law inspired by the reason and defined by science.

Masonry recognizes the existence of a Creational Principle or Supreme Being, and for It to be the common denominator to all religions is called Great Architect of the Universe, does not admit more differences between men than merit and demerit; does not reject anyone because of their beliefs and opinions, is required that they do not oppose the principles and objectives of the Fraternity. Discussions over Religion or Politics are not accepted.

Masonry does not limit any investigation of the truth, promotes liberty of consciousness and warranties it throughout their members with the practice of tolerance, meaning the due respect of all the individual convictions as an essential qualification. Membership is open to men of any race or religion who can fulfill this requirement and who are of good repute.

 

WORKS IN THE LODGE

Any Freemasons meeting is called a Lodge, and two fundamental ways are developed in their works. First is the ritualistic which is based on antique symbology, in order to reach a higher stage of consciousness with the laws and precepts of Nature and Universe. Second to this, is the Intellectual works to achieve the knowledge and reason over the human conditions.
